Pavement Technician (or Lead Technician - Based on Experience)
Appell Striping is looking for a dependable, experienced Pavement Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll help deliver high-quality asphalt repairs, sealcoating, and line striping for commercial properties. Appell Striping operates in partnership with Jan-Pro, a nationally recognized commercial cleaning brand. This relationship allows us to support a wide range of commercial clients while continuing to grow our pavement maintenance services.

What You'll Do
  • Perform crack filling, asphalt patching, and minor pavement repairs
  • Operate sealcoating equipment and apply sealant to paved surfaces
  • Set up and operate striping machines to apply pavement markings
  • Read and interpret site plans and blueprints to ensure accurate layout and striping
  • Prepare job sites by cleaning and prepping surfaces
  • Follow project layouts, specifications, and safety guidelines
  • Load, transport, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment
  • Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
  • Communicate with crew members and project managers on job progress
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and company vehicle

What We're Looking For
  • Line striping experience required
  • Ability to read and work from site plans and blueprints is required
  • 2+ years of line striping or pavement maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise layouts
  • Strong work ethic and team-player mindset

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Graco or similar striping equipment
  • Knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety signage
  • Experience leading crews or managing job sites
