Job description

The Asphalt Paving Foreman leads a small crew in asphalt paving projects, overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure quality and safety. This role requires coordinating equipment use and site activities, managing local and occasional out-of-town travel, and focusing on specialized paving projects to drive team success and project excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a small asphalt paving crew (less than 10 members)
  • Operate and oversee the use of paving equipment on site
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and manage safety on site
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality and progress
  • Coordinate tasks among team members to optimize productivity
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status and crew performance
  • Manage regular local travel and occasional out-of-town assignments

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving
  • Expertise in asphalt paving techniques and equipment operation
  • Proven ability to supervise and lead crews effectively
  • Experience with project coordination and team communication
  • Strong problem-solving skills focused on paving challenges
