 Compensation: $28-$30 DOE


The Chip Seal Foreman is a highly visible and critical leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, and quality control. This position serves as the primary liaison between the field crews, Superintendents, and Inspectors, acting as a strategic troubleshooter and operational mentor. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can travel extensively, drive best practices, and effectively resolve complex field issues.


Essential Job Functions

Safety and Compliance Oversight (Safety Audits & Enforcement)

Conduct frequent site checks, job specific to ensure strict adherence to all company and regulatory safety standards.

Perform job safety audits and lead immediate corrective action planning for any identified non-compliance.

Collaborate with Safety Department to train, coach, and mentor crew members on the proactive identification and mitigation of   safety hazards.

Lead by example and make sure crews are following company safety standards.

Quality Control & Process Improvement

Implement and enforce standardized Quality Control programs across assigned job sites.

Verify that work is being executed according to project specifications, approved plans, and company quality benchmarks.

Audit material handling, installation techniques, and overall workmanship.

Training and Development

Assist in targeted training sessions for field crews focused on safety, quality standards, efficient workflow, and new techniques.

Provide mentorship to crew members to enhance their problem-solving, and on-site management skills.

Facilitate the consistent adoption of best operational practices.

Operations Support and Troubleshooting

Resolve complex, urgent, or high-risk operational issues that require immediate intervention.

Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in field operations.

Facilitate communication and resource allocation between crew members to support project flow and overcome logistical challenges.

Provide regular, detailed reporting to superintendents on the status of field safety, quality metrics, and training progress.

Requirements

  Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of leadership experience in construction

Proven ability to manage job specific tasks

Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, and coaching field personnel.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of successfully resolving complex site and personnel issues under pressure.

Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with crews, managers, and   executive leadership.

Ability to travel extensively 50% to various job sites.
