Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Paving Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing, laying, and finishing paving surfaces to ensure durable, high-quality results. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional infrastructure projects while maintaining safety and efficiency on every job site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to excellence in paving craftsmanship.

General Accountabilities

Assist in the preparation of job sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring proper grading for paving operations
Operate and maintain paving equipment such as rollers, compactors, and hand tools with precision and safety awareness
Spread, level, and finish asphalt or concrete surfaces according to project specifications and industry standards
Assist in concrete and stone flatwork projects
Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion
Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA guidelines
Conduct quality checks throughout the paving process to identify and correct issues promptly
Support the team in loading and unloading materials, tools, and supplies as needed to keep projects moving efficiently

Job Qualifications

Proven experience as a paving laborer or similar construction role with a strong understanding of paving techniques and materials
Knowledge in concrete and masonry
Ability to operate basic construction and paving equipment safely and effectively
Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long durations
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and productivity
Valid driver’s license preferred; familiarity with construction site safety regulations required
