As a Business Analysis Manager - Filter Maintenance within Global Screening Operations (GSO), you will lead the Volume Mitigation Team to perform data gathering, analysis, and testing for hit rate mitigation and regulatory screening list updates and work directly with data to create meaningful analysis to mitigate false positive volume while keeping a priority on minimizing risk. You will help deliver business results, providing sound decision-making and judgment and influence key aspects of the GSO business while collaborating with various stakeholders across the Globe, ensuring regulatory compliance.
You will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and strategic initiatives while leveraging your advanced understanding of data analytics and automation. You will uncover patterns, analyze complex data sets, and develop innovative solutions to support business strategies. Your expertise in cross-functional collaboration will enable you to work effectively with diverse teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and you will be responsible for planning and directing work, making decisions that impact departmental outcomes, and managing complex situations.
Job responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation strategies, leveraging systems architecture knowledge to optimize processes and drive efficiency within the department.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with diverse teams across the organization to align efforts, share knowledge, and drive the successful implementation of business strategies.
  • Utilize strategic thinking to evaluate potential scenarios, assess risks, and make informed decisions that have a direct impact on departmental outcomes.
  • Provide coaching to team members, empowering them to take ownership of their work while ensuring objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and insights that contribute to hit rate mitigation, onboarding fine-tuning, and regulatory screening list updates.
  • Provide guidance to the team to ensure the accuracy, effectiveness, and risk-averse nature of solutions and exceptions implemented to reduce false hits.
  • Implement strategic measures to prioritize risk reduction, balancing false positive mitigation with regulatory compliance.
  • Take ownership of problems and be responsible for finding, understanding, and fixing problems related to hit rate mitigation and regulatory screening; ensure accountability and drive solutions from inception to successful implementation.
  • Spearhead enhancements to optimize filter performance, ensuring compliance with both existing and emerging regulations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement advanced technological solutions, improving data accuracy, operational efficiency, and overall screening effectiveness
  • Work closely with compliance and risk teams to ensure seamless adoption of new regulatory policies, as needed.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct data analysis with a focus on uncovering patterns and providing insightful reporting, showcasing expertise equivalent to 7+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing automation strategies, with a strong understanding of systems architecture.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional collaboration, with experience in working with diverse teams across an organization and advanced strategic thinking skills, with a track record of evaluating potential scenarios, assessing risks, and making informed decisions.
  • Experience in providing coaching and delegation to team members, with a focus on empowering individuals and ensuring efficient achievement of objectives and provide quality service to customers through continuous communication.
  • Proven experience in sanctions screening or a related field, with a strong understanding of compliance regulations and expertise in using Fircosoft or similar filtering tools.
  • Effective communication, collaboration skills, project management and presentation skills and self-reliance and creative problem-solving abilities with the ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and business needs.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse groups.
