As a Security Officer Patrol Security in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach while contributing to a reliable and innovative environment.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and addressing access concerns, questions, and routine requests in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation related to daily operations and incident response.
  • Support emergency response activities, including following post instructions, assisting with evacuations, and reporting maintenance, access control, and other security-related issues observed during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
