Construction Superintendent

Location: Ocala, FL

Build Projects That Matter

Patriot Contracting & Demolition is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations across residential remodels, commercial interiors, franchise refreshes, and demolition projects throughout Central and North Florida.

This role is responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining schedules, supporting safety compliance, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and professionally from start to finish.

Position Overview

The Construction Superintendent supports both the construction and demolition divisions by managing daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors and crews, maintaining schedules, and helping ensure projects meet quality and safety standards.

Projects may include residential remodels, commercial build-outs, franchise renovations, selective demolition, structural removals, and site preparation work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations across active construction and demolition projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, crews, deliveries, and jobsite activities
  • Maintain project schedules and support milestone completion
  • Monitor jobsite safety and enforce company safety procedures
  • Conduct toolbox talks and support compliance requirements
  • Coordinate inspections, permits, and required documentation
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Review project plans, specifications, and field updates
  • Support project closeout, punch work, and final walkthroughs
  • Maintain organized and professional job sites

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of construction field leadership or superintendent experience
  • Experience managing residential remodels, commercial interiors, or demolition projects
  • Understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and jobsite coordination
  • Familiarity with Florida Building Code, permitting, and safety requirements
  • Experience with franchise/retail projects and high-end residential work preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Experience using construction management or scheduling software preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Central and North Florida

Compensation & Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site position
  • Based in Ocala, FL, with regional travel to jobsites
  • Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 annually, based on experience
  • Bonus potential available
  • Benefits package may include health coverage, PTO, and company vehicle support, depending on project needs
