Company Overview

Home Attendant Care is a privately owned and trusted home care agency that was one of the first in the area, established in 1983. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the community and staying locally owned. Because of this, we can make instant decisions and fine tune our care for not only our clients, but our caregivers as well.

Our caregivers are the life force of what we do, and we pride ourselves on their longevity with the company. We believe that your job supports your life, not your life supports your job. Our administrative staff work to build personal relationships with our caregivers and work hard to take care of our team.

Overview

We are seeking compassionate HCA/CNA Caregivers to serve clients across Whatcom and Skagit Counties (including Anacortes). This role involves delivering personalized patient care, assisting with daily activities, and supporting clients in maintaining their health and safety within their home environment. If you don't have your HCA, we can help you get it!

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Offer emotional support, socialization and companionship.
  • Utilize patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe mobility.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with home healthcare regulations.
  • Meal planning, shopping and meal preparation according to any dietary restrictions.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and ensuring a safe environment for clients.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities (caring for a family member or friend counts as experience!).
  • Knowledge of assisted living practices, dementia care, hospice support, and home health care assistance.
  • Ability to perform patient personal care assistance while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Must have a driver’s license, auto insurance and a reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely when necessary; experience with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts preferred.
  • Have genuine care and compassion for people and want to make a difference.

Join our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need compassionate home healthcare support!
