Introduction

This position will supervise on an alternating schedule of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday from 1:00 PM - 1:30 AM (12 hour shift) and Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM (10 hour shift), every other week. Time flexibility will be required in this role.

Job Summary and Qualifications
  • You will  be responsible for day-to-day operations of the inpatient transporters as well as throughout the hospital
  • This a non-clinical, non-certified associate responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner to all patients during their entire stay
  • The main duties and responsibilities of the Internal Patient Transporter Supervisor will be to lead a team of internal patient transporters and supervise transportation of patients within the hospital environment by wheelchair, stretcher or bed and lead the internal patient transport
  • You will have to transport patients when needed/ required and will monitor work and leave time of current IPT staff, cover breaks/shifts and must have a working knowledge of transport ordering systems
  • You will prepare various reports to include daily productivity report, conduct surveys, maintain equipment, make sure the transports are carried out, and comply with the company and hospital policies
  • You will ensure compliance, accuracy and additional education of the electronic bed board data entry of all personnel and have 24/7 responsibility and accountability for the day to day operations of patient movement through the hospital
What qualifications you will need:
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED required
  • Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in patient transportation department in a health related facility
  • BLS required
  • Current clinical knowledge required. Minimum of 6 months management experience preferred
  • Complies with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management programs
