Job Purpose

In your role as Safety Training & Compliance Officer, you will work towards bettering our workplace safety policies and procedures while maintaining safe working practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Providing personnel with safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of equipment.
  • Reviewing existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date.
  • Overseeing the companyโ€™s daily operations and identifying opportunities for improvement of safety regulations.
  • Conducting risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, injuries, and health hazards.
  • Ensuring compliance of safety protocols and monitoring daily tasks; including pre and post-trip inspections.
  • Recording, documenting, and reviewing accidents, injuries, and incidents.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Reviewing and assessing video/camera footage.
  • Completing ride-alongs to evaluate Drivers.
  • Record and document all accidents and injuries as well as review other accident and incident reports.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in health and safety.
  • Commercial Drivers License.
  • Extensive knowledge in DOT compliance/safety.
  • Ability to conduct training and lead employees.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel among worksites to conduct safety inspections.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
