Midwest Eye Consultants is looking for a Patient Service Manager to lead our front-office team in Auburn. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity that partners with the Practice Manager to keep the practice running smoothly and provide an exceptional experience for every patient.
This role is ideal for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career, enjoys coaching and developing others, and wants to make a meaningful impact in a patient-focused healthcare environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and support front-office team members in their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Create staff schedules, review timecards, and help ensure attendance and company policies are followed.
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing employee development.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture where team members feel supported and accountable.
  • Oversee patient check-in and check-out and help ensure a smooth patient flow.
  • Build positive relationships with patients and address service concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service.
  • Support clinical operations when needed, including chart preparation and patient testing.
  • Coordinate daily front-office operations and ensure processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Support end-of-day procedures, cash handling, deposits, bank runs, insurance filing, claim follow-up, and accounts receivable activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and practice performance.
  • Partner with the Practice Manager and physicians to support practice goals and growth.
  • Help ensure compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
  • Identify problems, take initiative, and help implement practical solutions.

What We Need:
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred:
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Healthcare, medical office, optometry, or ophthalmology experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

Who We're Looking For:
  • A confident, supportive leader who enjoys developing others.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A strong communicator and problem-solver.
  • Patient-focused with a genuine commitment to excellent service.
  • Comfortable working with performance metrics and operational goals.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to build strong relationships with patients, physicians, coworkers, and support teams.
  • No two days are exactly alike. If you enjoy being the person who keeps things moving, supports your team, solves problems, and makes sure patients receive outstanding service, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

What We Offer:
  • Salary starting at $35,600 annually based on relevant knowledge and experience
  • 6.5 paid holidays + 2 floating holidays each year
  • Approximately 8 days of PTO during your first year
  • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
  • Company-paid certification programs with opportunities for professional development and wage increases upon successful completion
  • Career advancement opportunities throughout the organization, including pathways into expanded leadership and management roles
  • A supportive team environment committed to growth, development, and exceptional patient care
