Position: Echo Tech

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Clinic / Cath Lab (Might be a need for Hospital coverage as well)

Schedule: Monday- Friday varied, on call

Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiograms (transthoracic and transesophageal) according to physician orders and department protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions to alleviate concerns.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear and accurate images of the heart and associated structures.
  • Analyze acquired images to identify abnormalities, anomalies, and potential pathology.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret findings and assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Ensure proper documentation of procedures, including patient information, image acquisition, and interpretation.
  • Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to minimize risks to patients and staff.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous education to stay current with advances in echocardiography technology and techniques.

  • Associates or bachelor's degree
  • Current ARDMS or CCI Registered
