Per Diem Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Strive Clinic
Location: Holyoke, MA
Pay Rate: $30-40/hour
Job Summary:
Our STRIVE Clinic helps people who are living with a brain injury to become more functional and engaged with others. We recognize program participants for their unique talents and encourage them to share their knowledge and experience with their peers. Our goal is to provide a fulfilling experience for participants in their journey through rehabilitation and reintegration into the community. We provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy as needed, and these services are overseen by licensed professionals.
Responsibilities:
  • Work hands-on with individuals through their ongoing rehabilitation, under the supervision of our SLP;
  • Educate team members about speech needs, provide assistance with appropriate counsel, support, and advocacy training.
  • Participate in teaching skills / techniques; use of adaptive equipment; and dining guidelines.
  • Maintain clinical and administrative records in a style and timeliness consistent with federal and state regulations, and agency and program policies.
  • Follow and contribute to treatment plans
  • Support with integrity and loyalty. Dedication to serving the organization's goals and mission.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with clients, customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all organizational and client information and adheres to all applicable federal and state regulations in the performance of job duties.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance.

Qualifications:
  • Hold and maintain state and national licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish required
  • CPR & 1st Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to or upon hire).
  • Meet and maintain all health requirements under DPH standards.
  • Have and maintain a valid Driver's License for a minimum of 6 months with an acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable transportation/vehicle.
