Pathlight Milieu Coordinator PRN

Shift: The role of PRN Milieu Coordinator will have a shift that will vary based on department necessity. PRN MC will work at the Child and Adolescent Program between the hours of 7am-730pm Monday Through Friday. The shifts with the Adult Program will vary, IOP will be Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9am-12pm or 4pm-8pm. The PHP Adult program will require the hours of 8am-4pm Monday-Friday.

The Milieu Coordinator (MC I, MC II) facilitates therapeutic groups based on core curriculum. Provides meal monitoring and meal support. Offers milieu support, de-escalation and behavior coaching to patients in Inpatient/Residential and Partial Hospitalization programs. The MC may be required to work on-call shifts based on business needs, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Facilitates curriculum-based groups
  • Provides meal monitoring and support
  • Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations
  • Provides support to Milieu including the following:
    • De-escalation and crisis management
    • Bathroom monitoring
    • Monitoring outside breaks
    • Conducts self-harm and suicide assessment
    • Support morning routine in IP/Res programs
    • Collect weights, vitals and urine in some settings
  • Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends. Will lead more advanced groups (MC II)

Milieu Coordinator I (MC I) must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field (Required)
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in behavioral health or related field (Required)

Milieu Coordinator II (MC II) must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field (Required)
  • Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (Required-waived with relevant master's degree)
  • Graduate degree in mental health or related degree program (Preferred)
  • Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board (Preferred)
  • 1+ year facilitating groups (Preferred)

Required for Milieu Coordinators working in Colorado:

  • Teammates working in a Colorado Residential Child Care facility (RCCF) must:
    • be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or
    • be at least eighteen (18) years of age and work directly under the supervision of a teammate over twenty-one (21) years of age
