Work Location: This is an onsite position at our Augusta, Maine office

Compensation: $30 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Communicating with consumers by telephone, and through written correspondence, to assist them with setting up payment plans and problem resolution to bring resolution to accounts
  • Providing thorough, efficient, and accurate account updates on computer files for each call made or received
  • Skip tracing to locate consumer contact information
  • Complying with and staying up-to-date on all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties
  • Complying with and staying up-to-date on all TSI policies and procedures
  • Maintaining knowledge of functional areas, company policies, and procedures
  • Providing feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement
  • Making recommendations to implement improved processes
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited education institution – OR – four (4) years of equivalent post-secondary education, training, and/or professional level competency in accounting, tax collection, finance or directly related computer science, that demonstrates the ability to use independent judgement, initiative, and discretion to make decisions on complex matters
  • Previous collection experience preferred
  • Good critical thinking, analytical skills, strong attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • High levels of ambition, keen to grow their career
  • Experience with customer service, problem solving or just the motivation to learn a new skill
