Job description

Position: Dimensional Test Equipment (DTE) / Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Engineer

Location: Kuwait

Security Clearance: DoD Secret clearance required (existing, active) at Day 1.

Job Overview: Principal authority for support and maintenance of contractor-supplied PATRIOT depot test stations (excluding GE Test Set). Works under a Patriot Test Station Lead.

What You Will Do
  • Assist with determining operating ability of all contractor test equipment.
  • Verify that all test station manuals, procedures, software, fixtures, and Units Under Test (UUT) are correctly configured.
  • Help isolate problems among test station hardware, software, and UUT.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test station software issues at system and UUT level.
  • Provide direct interface with contractor test personnel for additional testing experience.
  • Coordinate training with KAD Depot trained technicians.
  • Schedule informal classroom and practical exercise training activities that refresh previous depot training lessons.
  • Operate, maintain, and sustain PAT 243, PAT 244, and PAT 247 Patriot test stations, including coolant oil processing units, Radar coolant groups, converters, and inverters.
  • Track signals and measure voltage, current, resistance to isolate component-level problems.
  • Verify operational condition of PAT 243, 244, and 247 test stations.
  • Demonstrate proper maintenance, sustainment, repair procedures and techniques.
  • Participate in on-the-job training programs.
  • Prepare, fill out, and submit maintenance reports and system problem reports (SPRs).
Qualifications

You Must Have

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in operation, maintenance, and sustainment of Dimensional Test Equipment (DTE) stations and Patriot electronics assemblies to component level.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Experience with general tools and commercial test equipment, including replacement of component parts on circuit card assemblies.
  • Ability to work in extreme desert environments and lift up to 50lb.
  • Knowledge of standard industrial test equipment such as digital voltmeters, high‑voltage probes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Existing Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred

  • 6–8 years of hands‑on experience operating, maintaining, and sustaining PAT 243, PAT 244, or equivalent test stations.
  • Experience working on Configuration3 system assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Direct experience working with a Middle East customer.
  • Knowledge of maintaining and sustaining DTE test station equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8–12 years of related experience.
