The Role:

As a leader in Supply Chain, this role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations related to third-party service providers supporting plant operations. The position serves as the key liaison between GM and third-party partners to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of services that support production. This role is responsible for driving performance in safety, quality, responsiveness, cost, and people initiatives while ensuring third-party operations remain aligned with plant objectives, contractual requirements, and GM processes.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Act as the primary GM contact for assigned third-party service providers supporting plant operations.

  • Monitor third-party performance to ensure alignment with plant safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

  • Oversee compliance to GM procedures, plant requirements, and contractual obligations.

  • Resolve day-to-day service, operational, and supplier issues with urgency to minimize impact to production.

  • Coordinate with internal teams including Production, Quality, Engineering, PC&L, Materials, Finance, and Purchasing to support business needs.

  • Lead implementation of new third-party activities, scope changes, process
    updates, and operational improvements.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, system access needs, and administrative requirements for third-party personnel.

  • Review invoices, accruals, forecasts, and budget performance related to third-party services.

  • Analyze supplier performance, identify gaps, and develop corrective actions and cost improvement opportunities.

  • Support audits, BPD reviews, layered audits, and other plant governance routines related to third-party operations.

  • Prepare and communicate status updates, metrics, risks, and action plans to plant leadership.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve material flow, service performance, and operational efficiency.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent manufacturing/materials experience.

  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, materials, warehouse operations, logistics, or plant operations.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • May require flexibility in schedule to support operational issues across shifts as needed.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed

  • MUST have a valid driver's license

  • Ability to drive between sites on a weekly basis

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, materials, warehouse operations, logistics, or plant operations.

  • Experience working with third-party service providers in a plant or warehouse environment.

  • Knowledge of supply chain, materials, logistics, or PC&L processes.

  • Experience with budgeting, invoice tracking, accruals, or cost performance management.

  • Familiarity with GM operating systems, plant processes, audits, and performance reviews.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and drive issue resolution in a fast- paced manufacturing environment.
