Continuing Education Instructor, Part-Time

Location

District Facilities / Assigned Program Locations

Position Summary

The Continuing Education Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering instruction for adult and community education courses. This position provides instruction in a safe, organized, and engaging manner consistent with course descriptions and program expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver instruction for assigned continuing education courses
  • Prepare and present instructional materials appropriate to the course content
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
  • Follow district policies, procedures, and facility use guidelines
  • Maintain attendance records and communicate with program staff as required
  • Begin and end classes on time
  • Report instructional concerns, safety issues, or cancellations to program staff

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, training, or experience relevant to the course subject area
  • Experience teaching adults or leading group instruction preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with adult learners
  • Dependable and able to work independently

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform duties consistent with the instructional needs of the course
  • Ability to stand, move, and demonstrate activities as required
