Job Family STU - Student Assistant Grade N1 Salary $14.00/hr Department World Languages, Padrón Campus Address 627 SW 27th Ave, Miami, FL 33135 Reports To Department Chairperson Anticipated Start Date August 24, 2026 End Date July 30, 2027 (May Be Renewed Annually) Hours Per Week Up to 25 Hours (Flexible Schedule To Be Discussed) Job Posting Closing Date Open Until Filled FLSA Status Non-Exempt First Review Date August 3, 2026
Position Overview
The Part-Time Student Assistant, Clerk performs basic clerical and administrative support duties. Successful completion of a Level I background screening (at no cost to the student) is a condition of employment for this position.
What you will be doing
  • Files, answers phones, sorts incoming mail, delivers outgoing mail, and assists with front desk duties
  • Restocking copiers and printers as needed
  • Prepares and processes all necessary forms
  • Types correspondence
  • Assists with inventory of supplies and replenishing when needed
  • Assists with coordination of special projects as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • High School Diploma or equivalent accredited GED; must qualify for financial aid and be enrolled in at least six (6) college credits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to consistently provide a friendly and positive disposition
  • Possess basic office environment clerical filing, typing, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
