This part-time position serves as the primary point of contact for the Racquet Center, greeting members and guests, coordinating reservations and programming, supporting retail operations, and promoting the Club's diverse racquets offerings. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and energized by engaging with others in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.

Requirements:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for member and guest inquiries, both in person and by phone.
  • Perform scheduled opening and closing procedures for the Racquets Pro Shop and court facilities.
  • Manage reservations for racquet programming, lessons, social play, leagues, and events.
  • Coordinate scheduling, availability, and maintenance of the ball machine.
  • Promote and register members for tournaments, leagues, instructional programs, and social events.
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming, and visually appealing pro-shop environment.
  • Assist members and guests with merchandise purchases, special orders, and racquet or paddle re-gripping services.
  • Attend departmental staff meetings.
  • Support merchandise receiving, stocking, displays, and quarterly inventory processes.
  • Follow all Club and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Handle member information with the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Support the Member Reservations & Experience Lead with club-wide reservation needs when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate member records and contact information.
  • Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly and ensures that we provide a safe workplace for our team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales or racquets pro shop experience.
  • Experience using POS or RPOS systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other business software applications.
  • General knowledge of tennis and pickleball.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle member concerns with professionalism, tact, and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for approximately 65% of the workday.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
