As the largest provider of youth programming in the county-with four Clubhouses and four licensed care centers-we are dedicated to excellence. We are looking for an Events & Fundraising Coordinator who brings optimism, poise, and a strategic mindset to our Resource Development team.

The Role

Under the direction of the Director of Development, you will be the engine behind our major fundraising initiatives. You will manage a diverse portfolio of events-from our annual gala to alumni gatherings-while maintaining a personal portfolio of 25–40 donors. This is a role for a "people person" who is also a data-driven strategist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Leadership: Plan and execute the Annual Gala/Auction, Youth of the Year dinner, Days of Giving, and community fundraisers.
  • Donor Stewardship: Build and maintain relationships with a personal portfolio of donors to increase financial support.
  • Operational Excellence: Track fundraising income, manage budgets, and ensure timely donor acknowledgment.
  • Sponsorships: Proactively solicit business sponsorships and in-kind donations.
  • Collaboration: Work with the VP of Resource Development on "Moves Management" and coordinate volunteer efforts for events.
  • Data Analysis: Use statistics to evaluate progress and recommend improvements for giving programs.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: 2+ years in a similar fundraising or event management role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (relatable experience may be substituted).
  • Communication: Exceptional writing skills and the ability to represent the organization with grace and professionalism.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong computer skills; experience with Donor CRM or project management software is a major plus.
  • The "Club" Spirit: A commitment to acting with kindness, staying curious, and fostering an environment of honest feedback.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory motor vehicle record (Must be 23+ to drive Club vehicles).
  • Ability to pass local and national background checks.
  • Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, noisy environments during events and remain active for long periods when necessary.

BENEFITS:

  • Low or no cost childcare for most employees registered with MERIT
  • Employee assistance program (free to all employees)
  • Paid holidays (8 for Full-Time and 5 for Part-Time) + 1 self-selected holiday per year
  • Medical insurance for Full-Time (employee pays $81/month for employee only coverage)
  • Dental insurance for Full-Time (base plan paid 100% by BGCWC for employee only coverage)
  • Vision insurance for Full-Time (plan paid 100% by BGCWC for employee only coverage)
  • Life Insurance/Supplemental/Spouse/Children Insurance available (50% of life insurance premium paid by BGCWC) for Full-Time employees
  • Long Term Disability (50% of premium paid by BGCWC) for Full-Time employees
  • No weekend work
  • Sick Days accrual per WA State Sick Leave Law for part-time employees
  • 401k plan after 60 days (up to 6% match after 1 year of service)
