Position Summary

As a Sales Associate I, they are responsible for maintaining Guest Service as per company standard, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, cash register operations and loss prevention in adherence to all Company Policy/Store standards.  Follow Law and Policy regarding selling Tobacco and their related products.



Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service. 
  • Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements. 
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping. 
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention. 
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and accountabilities at registers. 
  • Communicate guest requests to management.
  • Abide by all Policy and Law concerning sales of tobacco and related products. 
  • Any other duties as assigned by management. 

 


Requirements: 

  • Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and register system. 
  • Ability to communicate with associates and guests. 
  • Ability to read, count and write accurately complete all documentation. 
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store including the selling floor, stock area, and register area. 
  • Ability to operate and use all the equipment necessary to run the store. 
  • Ability to climb ladders. 
  • The ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighs 0-30 pounds. 
  • Frequently bending and stooping.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Frequently walk throughout the shift within the store
  • Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate
  • No experience needed, will train
  • Must be 21 years of age and older

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
