Job description

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity shaping student communication success for the 2026–2027 school year! Work with a supportive district in Northern California, providing speech-language services to 1–2 classrooms in the Oroville/Paradise area. This position primarily seeks part-time candidates who can be onsite two days per week, though strong virtual applicants will also be considered. The district values collaborative professionals and offers an environment where travel professionals are welcomed.

In this role, your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP, SLP-CCC) will make a direct impact. Your contributions will support students’ growth, promote inclusive learning, and help develop communication skills that last a lifetime. You may also assist with SLPA supervision, ensuring high standards of practice and fostering professional development within the team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California
  • Solid experience in a school-based setting
  • Strong communication, organization, and mentoring abilities
  • Previous supervisory experience or willingness to supervise an SLPA
  • Comfortable providing services in person; open to virtual/teletherapy

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored speech and language therapy to students across 1–2 classrooms
  • Develop and implement student therapy plans, initiate therapy sessions, and track progress
  • Conduct assessments and timely documentation in compliance with district requirements
  • Collaborate with educators and families for comprehensive language support
  • Supervise and mentor an SLPA as assigned
