Job description

Description
This position is responsible for washing dishes, pans, utensils and other food preparation items.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Efficiently cleans all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glassware, etc. so that the guest experiences a quality meal.
  • Notifies the supervisor of any issues that could potentially jeopardize the guest experience.
  • Has knowledge of equipment and products used in the area and ensures proper use.
  • Has knowledge of all safety regulations and performs in a manner that maintains a clean, safe work environment.
  • Performs assigned tasks under frequent supervision.
  • Follows written or verbal instruction.
  • Removes trash, cleans, and scrubs areas.
  • Exercises reasonable judgment and seeks guidance for decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job duties and responsibilities.
  • Assists others when necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with managerial staff, co-workers, guests, and the general public.
  • Works well alone or within a team.
  • Remains up-to-date on property events and hours of operation for all F&B outlets.
  • May perform duties in all food and beverage areas at the direction of the Food and Beverage Supervisor or above.
  • Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends.
  • This position is not limited to those duties listed in the job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced or deleted to meet business needs of the company.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred and six months of previous work experience, preferably in the Gaming, Hospitality, or Customer Service industry. Restaurant experience is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with others in English; understands and complies with all casino and departmental rules and regulations.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to talk or hear. The individual is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The individual is required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Individual must be able to stand for long periods of time. The individual must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and push, pull, or drag up to 100 lbs. The individual must be able to engage in repetitive motion using wrists, fingers and hands. The work environment is humid and quite warm.
