How many hours a day can you drive transporting RVs?

Parttime RV transport drivers typically drive for a few hours per day, often limited by hours-of-service regulations that generally restrict drivers to 8-11 hours of driving within a 24-hour period. These regulations are designed to ensure safety and prevent fatigue, and drivers may work flexible schedules depending on the job and company policies.

How to become a RV transport driver?

To become a part-time RV transport driver, you typically need a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and experience driving large vehicles or trucks. Some employers may require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or specialized training in vehicle transport. Physical fitness and the ability to handle long hours on the road are also important.

Is RV transport a good career?

RV transport as a career involves driving recreational vehicles over long distances, often requiring a commercial driver's license (CDL) and good driving skills. It can offer flexible schedules and the opportunity to travel, but it also involves long hours, time away from home, and physical demands. Whether it is a good career depends on individual preferences for travel, independence, and work conditions.

RV delivery drivers typically earn between $1.00 and $2.00 per mile, depending on factors such as experience, distance, and company policies.
