Part-Time Adventure Team Member
Adventures In Pet Sitting | Saline County, Kansas

Are you a college student who wants real hands-on experience working with animals while building skills for a future career?

At Adventures In Pet Sitting, we do not just watch pets. We provide professional in-home animal care while helping our team members gain real-world experience with a wide range of species.

This position is ideal for college students who want to gain animal handling experience, professional certifications, and independent work experience while continuing through the summer and school year.

Students studying Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, Agriculture, Wildlife, or Zoology are highly encouraged to apply.

Starting Pay: $13 per hour
Pay increases after successful completion of the 90-day probation period.

Service Area: Saline County and approximately 20 miles outside the city limits.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing in-home pet visits throughout Saline County and surrounding service areas

Feeding, exercising, and enriching pets according to detailed care instructions

Monitoring animal health and behavior during visits

Taking photos and writing professional visit reports for pet parents

Maintaining the safety and security of client homes

Following detailed care notes and company service standards

Handling situations calmly and responsibly when working independently

Schedule:

Flexible part-time hours that work around college schedules.

Typical service windows include:

Morning visits 6-11am
Midday visits 10:30-2pm
Evening visits 3-7pm

Tuck-in visits 6-11pm

Weekends and holidays are required. Holiday and weekend rotations may be available after one year of service.

This role is designed for students who plan to stay through the summer and continue working during the school year.

Requirements:

Reliable vehicle for travel between client homes

Smartphone for scheduling and service reporting

Ability to work independently without constant supervision

Comfort working with many types of animals

Ability to walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Strong reliability and communication skills
