School Crossing Guard Part Time

Are you interested in a job that will get you up in the morning, provide a break for school or other activities and then a little work in the afternoon? Work for Haltom City as a School Crossing Guard! Enjoy the great outdoors while you provide assistance to children and parents crossing the road to get to school. You will work approximately 15 hours per week following the Birdville ISD school calendar. Depending upon your assignment, you may have time to people watch and enjoy the weather when no one needs to cross.

Examples of Duties: You will need to be hear, talk, walk and stand while helping others cross the street. For everybody's safety, you will need to be able to hold up a hand held stop sign while you walk across the crosswalk. The ability to read and write is also needed.

This is a perfect job for students, retirees, people looking for some interaction with children and for those looking to earn some money without committing to a full-time job.

Typical Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Even more important is the ability to interact in a positive manner with children and parents to ensure their safety while crossing.
