Part-Time, Weekends (9am to 3pm)
JOB SUMMARY
Greets patients and guests upon arrival for hospital services or patient visitation. Arranges for the efficient admission of patients presenting for hospital testing and procedures. Ensures visitors are aware of hospital visitation policies. Secures and monitors the Front Lobby during visiting hours.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Welcomes all patients, visitors and guests to the facility in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Knowledgeable of the hospital facility, policies and hospital services that are provided.
  • Interacts professionally with patients and guests, providing information and directions.
  • Represents and promotes the hospital facility in a positive and professional manner.
  • Practices HIPAA. Ensures the confidentiality of patient records.
  • Secures and monitors the Front Lobby during Visiting hours.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements and all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
  • Complies with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire, safety and infection control.
  • Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department.

BASIC SKILLS
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to type accurately with speed
  • Able to use office machines efficiently

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Prefers someone who has at least 6 months experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
  • Excellent customer services skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional language a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, or sit for long periods of time.
