Job description

Operations: Part Time up to 21 hours/week, Nonexempt

We want you and people everywhere to experience the Life of Christ.GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The receptionist provides the first impression of Bent Tree and greets everyone in a manner that is warm, caring, and friendly as they visit the church offices, call, or send an email inquiry or request. They answer general questions about Bent Tree and direct people to the proper person to meet their need. The hours needed for this position are Sunday: 8AM - 1PM and Monday - Thursday: 9AM - 1PM.ย 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Familiar with Bent Treeโ€™s Distinctives, Beliefs, and Culture
  • Must have excellent people and communication skills
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of correct grammar, word usage, spelling and punctuationย 
  • Possess excellent mechanical skills (phones, copier, fax, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain strong confidentiality and display emotional maturity
DUTIES
  • Primary receptionist for switchboard Monday through Friday during regular office hoursย 
  • Database management as requested
  • General administrative tasks as assigned including ordering church supplies and managing church prayer list
  • Build volunteer teams to assist in coverage of the switchboard
  • Maintain office equipment service and supplies including copiers, folding machine, cutting equipment, etc.
  • Maintain staff kitchen including pantry supplies, organization, daily clean-up, dishwasher, and regular refrigerator clean-outs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Clerical skills training preferred
  • Associates degree or some college preferred
