We're looking for a reliable, warm, and physically capable caregiver to support an older gentleman living with Parkinson's disease. This is a great fit for a nursing, kinesiology, or health-sciences student, or anyone with elder-care experience who wants meaningful part-time work with a flexible schedule.
What you'd help with:
  • Personal care, including assistance with bathing and daily hygiene
  • Meal setup (preparing and bringing food to him; he eats independently once it's in front of him)

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Safe assistance with movement and transfers, and, in the infrequent event of a fall, helping him up using the assistive lift (hoyer lift) equipment we provide.

The amount of help needed varies day to day. On days when his symptoms are more active, the role is more hands-on; on better days it's lighter and more about company and light support.
What we're looking for:

Schedule and pay:
  • Approximately 10 hours per week, with flexibility for heavier days
