This includes coordinating with client representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value - Safety first, in everything we do.
  • Assist in analyzing specifications and formulating approaches to bid preparation. Contact vendors and subcontractors to solicit quotes, coordinate efforts using the vendor database and Bidfax system, and perform site visits and necessary pre-bid investigations.
  • Accurately summarize quantity takeoff and analysis, digitizing earthwork/roadway sections and volumes as directed by the Senior Estimator, ensuring smooth flow of data.
  • Assist with estimate entry into HCSS software and analyze labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor data.
  • Analyze subcontractor/vendor price comparisons and assist in selecting DBE contractors and vendors. Complete post-bid analyses and help compile final estimate materials.
  • On successful bids, prepare DBE packages and assist with subcontractor/vendor buyouts. Maintain estimating software like HCSS, Bidfax, and Agtek.
  • Assist Project Engineers and Superintendents in creating CPM project schedules, initial project setup tasks, and maintaining project documentation and files.
  • Submit and manage change order logs, project requisitions, and quarterly cost revisions with explanations of variances.
