Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Within the realm of the job, maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment. Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed.
  2. Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
  3. Serves guests with beverages promptly and courteously.
  4. Promotes events in gaming, slots, restaurants, and other areas as required or requested. Answers guests' questions regarding casino operations.
  5. Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations with all guests and employees.
  6. Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag and Gaming License.
  7. Performs all duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and internal policies and procedures.
  8. Alerts the supervisor of any concerns regarding the quality, selection, and variety of beverages.
  9. Complies with established security policies and procedures and informs their supervisor of any concerns.
  10. Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of bar operations at all times. Keeps their supervisor informed of any concerns. Verifies customers are 21+ years of age and provides them with a wristband.
  11. Monitors guests for intoxication. If applicable, discontinues alcohol sales and informs security and the immediate supervisor/casino manager. Alerts the supervisor/casino manager and security regarding guests who may be difficult or possibly violent.
  12. Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated cocktail server experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment. Demonstrated strong customer service skills. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: One (1) or more years of recent and related cocktailing experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A Colorado Limited Gaming Support License is required. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations. Successful completion of alcohol awareness training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, such as constant brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting trays, which contain beverages, and lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move cocktail, bar, kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible work week with additional hours routinely required.

$12.14 an hour (based on experience) plus gratuities
