Many event planners work evenings and weekends to accommodate client needs.

What are the 5 C's of event planning?

How to get into event planning with no experience?

Entry-level event planning roles often require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks. Gaining experience through volunteering, internships, or assisting experienced planners can help build relevant skills and connections. Learning industry tools like event management software and obtaining certifications such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) can also improve job prospects.

Can you be a freelance event planner?

Yes, a parttime event planner can work as a freelance professional, offering services independently rather than through an employer. Freelance event planners typically need strong organizational skills, industry knowledge, and may use tools like project management software; they often set their own schedules and rates. Building a client base and establishing a reputation are key to success in freelance event planning.
