Make an impact. Build a career. Get paid to do something that actually matters.

If you're looking for a job where you show up, do real work, and leave knowing you made a difference, this is it. At Behavioral Health Works, our Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with kids with autism, helping them build communication, social, and everyday life skills through ABA therapy. No corporate fluff. Just meaningful, hands-on work with kids who need you.

What you'll actually be doing:

  • Working directly with kids using play-based ABA therapy (yes, you get paid to play)
  • Teaching communication, social, and self-help skills
  • Tracking progress and collecting session data on your phone or tablet
  • Partnering with families and a clinical team that has your back

What's in it for you:

Pay & Perks

  • Competitive pay - $21 to $25/hr
  • Flexible schedules (3pm to 8pm, minimum 3 days/week)
  • Complete your RBT training within 14 days and earn a bonus, plus we cover your RBT exam fees
  • Bilingual? You'll earn more, we offer a higher pay rate for bilingual staff
  • Travel reimbursement between clients (we know gas isn't free)
  • Referral program (90 day payout), get paid for who you know

Flexibility

  • Afternoon/evening hours (Minimum 3 days per week - 3 to 8pm), so you can keep your mornings free
  • Schedules that actually work around school, life, and everything else

Benefits (Full-Time)

  • Health, dental, vision, and chiropractic insurance
  • Critical illness, accident, hospital confinement, voluntary and basic life insurance
  • 401(k), yes, even for this job
  • Paid time off
  • EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
  • Pet insurance
  • Professional development support

Career & Education

  • Tuition discounts through partnered universities: National University, California Southern University, Vanguard University, Capella University, Purdue Global, and William James College
  • Real growth opportunities in a field that's expanding fast

You're probably a great fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Are available weekday afternoons or evenings (3 to 8pm, minimum 3 days/week)
  • Have a reliable car, valid license, and insurance
  • Are comfortable with tech, you'll use your phone/tablet for data collection
  • Have experience or a passion for caregiving, education, or working with kids with special needs (preferred, not required)

We'd especially love to hear from you if you have experience or interest in: paraprofessional work, caregiving, coaching, tutoring, special education, social work, mental health advocacy, youth programs, foster care, childcare, camp counseling, or any related field. Studying psychology, education, social work, human development, or something similar? Even better.

The bottom line: This isn't just a part-time gig, it's a launchpad. Whether you're building toward a career in healthcare, education, or behavioral health, or you just want work that doesn't feel pointless, BHW is a place where you can grow, get supported, and actually feel good about what you do every day.

Ready to apply? We'd love to meet you.
