Job description


Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work collaboratively with colleagues to conduct all phases of data collection including development of questionnaires, instruments or protocols; item development and testing; sample design; field procedures; data quality; and other administrative tasks associated with carrying out a successful project.
2. Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data using a variety of methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups, administrative data, observations, document reviews).
3. Assist with preparation of descriptive and analytical reports and presentations of analysis results, including development of tables, charts, dashboards, infographics, and other data visualizations to communicate findings.
4. Coordinate with colleagues to understand client needs and ensure alignment between instruments and client questions.
5. Manage client relationships in order to ensure customer satisfaction and work sustainability.
6. Collaborate with clients and project partners to design and implement efficient processes to accomplish client and project goals.
7. Assist with data quality checks and data entry as needed.
8. Evaluate reliability of source information based on needs of various projects.
9. Develop procedures and protocols for implementing formative and summative evaluations.
10. Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
1. Must be currently enrolled in master's level program in public health, social sciences, statistics, public policy, or a related field.
2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and ease with a variety of people.
3. Experience with Microsoft Excel required; familiarity with SPSS, R, Stata, Power BI, Tableau, GIS, NVivo, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or other statistical or qualitative analysis software is a plus.
4. Ability to work independently, to take initiative and solve problems, and to work collaboratively and on teams.
5. Ability to plan workflow, organize and prioritize, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines required.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to translate analysis findings for a variety of audiences.
7. Experience managing, cleaning and analyzing datasets is preferred.
8. Coursework in research methods, statistics, program evaluation, or data analysis preferred.
9. Ability to build trust and positive working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups; able to promote high expectations and high quality for all constituents required.
10. Organized, detail oriented and enjoys learning new skills.
11. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to experiment and work with new technologies.
12. Ability to comply with the AIU Conduct Policy.
13. Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with flexibility for remote work and occasional in-person meetings, client visits, or data collection activities.
