Job description

Parts Counter Person - Automotive & Powersports

EAG Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram / Kawasaki of Palestine - Palestine, TX Full Time

About the Opportunity

EAG CDJR Kawasaki Palestine is looking for an experienced Parts Counter Person to join our parts department. This is a rare combination role - you'll work both the automotive side with a full Mopar inventory and the powersports side supporting Kawasaki units, so no two days look the same.

We're part of a growing East Texas dealership group, and we're looking for someone who wants a long-term home, not a stopover.

What You'll Do
  • Serve technicians at the back counter - pull, order, and stage parts to keep the shop productive and hours turning
  • Assist retail and walk-in customers at the front counter with parts, accessories, and Kawasaki apparel
  • Support wholesale accounts and outside customers by phone and email
  • Look up parts accurately using factory catalogs and the dealership DMS
  • Place stock and special orders, track backorders, and follow up so customers aren't left waiting
  • Receive, bin, and tag incoming freight; maintain a clean, organized, accurately stocked parts department
  • Assist with cycle counts, obsolescence review, and annual physical inventory
  • Process returns, warranty parts, and core returns per manufacturer guidelines
  • Work alongside service advisors and technicians to quote jobs quickly and correctly
What We're Looking For
  • Prior dealership parts counter experience required - CDJR/Mopar or powersports experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of a dealership DMS (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerTrack, Lightspeed, or similar)
  • Confidence with electronic parts catalogs and the ability to identify the right part the first time
  • Strong customer service skills - professional and patient with technicians, retail customers, and wholesale accounts alike
  • Solid computer and phone skills, with attention to detail on orders and invoices
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet throughout the shift
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Why EAG
  • Competitive pay and a full benefits package
  • Consistent full-time schedule - Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays
  • Ongoing factory training through Mopar and Kawasaki
  • Employee discounts on parts, service, and vehicles
  • Real advancement opportunity within a multi-store dealership group
  • A well-run department with modern equipment and a team that backs each other up
How to Apply

Apply directly through this posting with your resume, or stop by the dealership and ask for the Parts Manager. All inquiries are confidential.
