Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting our internal and external customers by processing part orders, creating purchase orders for technicians in the field and sourcing parts through different vendors to exceed customer expectations. The Parts Specialist will build long-lasting relationships with customers by exploring their needs and expectations, providing specific measurable goals, and achieving results within a customer's expected timeframe. The ideal candidate will proactively communicate with the associates, managers, and customers on procurement and parts orders.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Support the technicians by processing parts orders in a timely manner
 
Answer parts telephone calls and wait on walk in customers promptly and courteously
 
Assist customers by researching parts from the manufacturer's parts manuals
 
Prepare parts quotes; once approved enter orders in the computer
 
Operate in a professional and courteous manner to exceed customer expectations both in presentation and communication
 
Promote ProLift Toyota Material Handling's philosophies, vision, strategies and value of "Doing the Right Thing"; Promote the TLM "Toyota Lean Management" philosophy

Educational/Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, one to two years of experience in a parts department and working with/sourcing parts, and basic technical knowledge of automotive or forklift components. The Parts Specialist will have proficient knowledge of Microsoft products including Outlook and Office 365. The ideal candidate will effectively source purchases from online or catalogue inventory which requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to associates, customers, and managers, while protecting the organization's values by maintaining confidential and sensitive information. This role may require a driver's license and a motor vehicle registry check.
