Job description

We're Hiring a Development Associate. Join Fraser, Ltd. and help advance our mission by building relationships, engaging donors, coordinating special events, and expanding community support for the children, youth, and adults we serve. In this role, you'll work closely with leadership, marketing, volunteers, donors, businesses, and community partners to strengthen fundraising efforts and increase awareness of Fraser's impact.
What You'll Do:
Fundraising & Donor Relations
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors
  • Meet annual fundraising goals through donor engagement and stewardship
  • Identify prospective donors and build strategies to expand support
  • Coordinate donor communications, acknowledgements, and ongoing engagement efforts
  • Assist with major gift cultivation and donor development strategies
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned donors and prospects
Community Outreach & Partnerships
  • Build relationships with businesses, community organizations, and corporate partners
  • Represent Fraser, Ltd. at community events, networking opportunities, and public functions
  • Develop partnerships that increase awareness and support for Fraser's programs
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to identify fundraising and sponsorship opportunities
Special Events & Volunteer Engagement
  • Coordinate fundraising events and special projects, including Festival of Trees and other agency events
  • Assist with event planning, sponsorship recruitment, logistics, and volunteer coordination
  • Support volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition efforts
  • Help ensure successful execution of fundraising and community engagement activities
Grant & Funding Support
  • Research potential grant opportunities and funding sources
  • Assist with grant prospecting and foundation outreach
  • Collaborate with leadership and grant-writing efforts to support organizational funding goals
  • Identify opportunities for in-kind donations and community support
Reporting & Administration
  • Record donations and ensure donor acknowledgements are completed according to agency policy
  • Maintain accurate donor records and database information
  • Track fundraising activities, donor engagement, and progress toward goals
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly fundraising reports and analysis
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, community outreach, or related fields preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience coordinating events, volunteers, or community partnerships preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database software
  • Valid driver's license required
