We are seeking a Managing Director of Capital Relationships & Strategic Partnerships based in our New York office.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Capital Formation & Investor Relationships
  • Lead LP equity fundraising for Greystone-sponsored investment vehicles.
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and capital partners.
  • Partner with investment, origination, and credit teams to position strategies for capital raising.
  • Manage the full fundraising lifecycle, including ongoing investor engagement.
  • Product Innovation & Strategy
  • Collaborate with investors, loan originators, and senior leadership to design products aligned with market demand and investor risk/return profiles.
  • Translate market trends, borrower needs, and investor feedback into scalable multifamily debt products.
  • Shape product structures and positioning to support commercial success and capital formation.
  • Joint Ventures & Strategic Partnerships
  • Identify, evaluate, and structure joint venture opportunities across Greystone's debt platform.
  • Develop relationships with operating partners, capital partners, and strategic counterparties.
  • Advance firm-wide initiatives through partnerships and co-investments.
  • External Leadership & Market Presence
  • Represent Greystone through frequent client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and strengthen Greystone's market reputation.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • 12-20+ years of senior experience in real estate capital markets, fundraising, or structured finance.
  • Deep expertise in multifamily real estate debt, including agency lending and private credit.
  • Proven track record raising institutional LP equity and maintaining long-term capital relationships.
  • Strong network across investors, banks, and real estate capital providers.
  • Experience executing joint ventures or complex partnerships.
  • Exceptional client-facing presence, communication skills, and commercial judgment.
  • Previous experience in the following firms is a plus: Private Equity & Private Credit Firms, Investment Banking - Real Estate & Capital Markets, Agency, Mortgage Banking, or Specialty Finance Platforms, or Real Estate Operating Platforms with Capital Raising Mandates

  • Highly credible, relationship-driven, and market-facing.

  • Comfortable engaging at the C-suite and investment committee level.

Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $350,000 to $450,000/year. In addition, there will be a structured commissions schedule. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hiredcandidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
