About the role

The Business Development Representative is a valued member of the Fusion Sleep team and contributes to achieving departmental and organizational goals through collaboration, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. This role partners across the organization to deliver impactful work while embracing innovation, continuous improvement, and a peopleโ€‘first approach.

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving referral growth and expanding market presence for our sleep medicine healthcare clinic. This role focuses on cultivating strong relationships with healthcare providers, medical practices, and community partners to increase patient referrals and ensure seamless coordination between referring providers and clinic operations. Significant travel within the Georgia metro area is required.

What you'll do

Business Development & Referral Growth

  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to increase referrals from primary care providers, specialists, and other healthcare organizations.
  • Identify new referral sources and expand the clinicโ€™s network of partnering practices.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, and relationshipโ€‘building meetings with clinics and medical groups across the GA metro area.
  • Analyze referral patterns and market trends to target high-potential accounts and areas of opportunity.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, longโ€‘term relationships with referring physicians, office managers, and healthcare staff.
  • Maintain a positive image of the business and uphold the reputation of FusionSleep team members in all sales activities and communications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between referring providers and the sleep medicine clinic to ensure clear communication and excellent service delivery.
  • Monitor satisfaction of referral partners and proactively address concerns or barriers to referral growth.
  • Models steady, solutionโ€‘focused leadership; maintaining optimism, resilience, and a canโ€‘do attitude that helps the team stay motivated through challenges

Marketing Duties

  • Coordinate the creation, printing, and distribution of marketing collateral, including brochures, rack cards, referral forms, and promotional materials.
  • Work with internal teams or external vendors to ensure marketing materials are accurate, professional, and aligned with clinic branding.
  • Manage inventory of printed materials and ensure all outreach efforts are properly stocked with updated marketing resources..
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team based on field insights and referring provider needs.

Crossโ€‘Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with clinical teams, scheduling staff, and leadership to ensure a smooth workflow from referral to patient treatment.
  • Support marketing and operational initiatives that enhance referral processes, brand presence, and community awareness.
  • Represent Fusion Sleep at community health events, employer wellness fairs, and professional networking events.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with employers for sleep health programs.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Consistently achieves or surpass monthly, quarterly and annual sales referral budget goals using data and metrics to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Utilize analytics to drive high-quality referrals, which convert at an optimal rate into revenue generating services.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral metrics, and account performance.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to track progress against referral targets and business development goals.
  • Participates in annual budgeting and goal setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare business development, medical sales, or provider relations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare referral processes; sleep medicine experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Selfโ€‘motivated, goalโ€‘oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to travel extensively within the GA metro area.
  • Proficient in Google Gโ€‘Suite and Microsoft Suite
  • High level of professionalism and a strong ability to interface with employees in all positions.
