Software Engineer and Developer
The Opportunity:
Join us in shaping the future of our systems. We're seeking a motivated Software Engineer to help design, implement, and enhance modern solutions within an agile development environment. In this role, you'll contribute to system modernization efforts through hands-on development, ongoing maintenance, and proactive problem-solving. You'll apply your functional expertise and industry knowledge to address a range of technical challenges of moderate scope and complexity. Working both independently and collaboratively, you'll help deliver reliable, scalable solutions while also supporting and guiding junior team members as needed.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
  • 4+ years of experience building and maintaining automated data pipelines to support AI and ML workflows
  • Experience with Python coding
  • Experience with managing infrastructure, such as cloud or on-prem, and containerization in support of secure workflows
  • Experience with building workflows for real-time trend and anomaly analysis processing and data exploitation
  • Experience in creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in software engineering, or Master's degree and 2+ years of experience in software engineering

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with container technology, including Docker or Podman
  • Experience with Python coding for AI and ML solutions, such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
  • Experience working with Agentic workflows and LLMs, such as Claude or GPT

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
