Job description

Schedule will be every Saturday at Lake Continuing Care Center; with opportunities to pick up additional shifts.
A Brief Overview
Assists Rehab Staff with patient transport, care activities, set-up, clean-up and clerical duties to facilitate the rehabilitation of people with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities
What You Will Do
  • Assist physical therapist/occupational therapist directly with patient care
  • Patient care support duties
  • Departmental support and maintenance

Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications:
Education
  • High School Equivalent / GED (Required)

Work Experience
  • Previous experience as nursing assistant or related area in a health care facility (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Able to understand all verbal and written communication instructions; able to record specific simple data (Required proficiency)
  • Good time management and interpersonal skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Physically, cognitively and perceptually able to provide patient treatment and able to assist in physical mobility of patients and equipment (Required proficiency)
