Job description

Edenbrook Second Avenue is seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team. The Dietary Aide will assist in providing nutritional services to residents by preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. This position offers flexible per diem shifts.

Position: Part time Dietary Aide

Schedule: 10 day schedule ( every other weekend): PT 4:00pm-8:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Service: Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in the dining room or their individual rooms.
  • Cleanliness & Sanitation: Ensure all food preparation areas are kept clean and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
  • Dining Area Maintenance: Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other dining areas after meals.
  • Stocking & Inventory: Receive and organize food deliveries from vendors, ensuring proper storage in the pantry, refrigerator, or freezer.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including safe food handling and sanitation practices during food preparation and storage.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the dietary supervisor or facility management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting, is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:
