Position Summary: Supports and compliments the nursing process under the direction of a Registered Nurse by providing patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursingassistanceto patientutilizingeach patient's physical, psychological, cultural, nutritional, and functional needs under the supervision of the registered nurse

  • Completes patient caretimelyand accurately based on the prescribed plan of care in conjunction with the Registered Nurse

  • Completes documentation according to specific hospital policy

  • Performs clerical / receptionist functions on the nursing units

  • Promotes a clean and safe environment of care,utilizingthe SAFE error prevention habits

  • Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct

Required Qualifications:

Education and Training:

  • Currently certified by the state of Illinoisas a CNA.

  • High school diploma or equivalentpreferred.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • CPR certified.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to care for patients with compassion andmaintainquality in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previoushospital experiencestronglypreferred.
