Job Summary
In this role Physical Security Officers (PSO's) can expect to be working in demanding and fast paced environments. PSO's may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues and public events. Additionally PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services.
Job Duties / Essential Functions
• Responding to emergencies
  • Ability to walk and strong observations

  • Deterring and preventing crime
  • Performing ingress/ egress control procedures
  • Investigating incidents
  • Completing daily logs and incident reports
  • Conducting regular walking or vehicle patrols
  • Building and Maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests and co-workers
  • De-escalating conflicts
  • Detaining suspects
  • Monitoring CCTV cameras
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications
  • Current and valid DL
  • High school diploma or GED
  • (1) year experience in armed security recommended
  • Must be able to pass PAT and ASO course
  • Must be able to pass drug screen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent de-escalation skills
  • Proficient firearms skills
  • Extensive use of force knowledge
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements

Appearance:
  • Officers shall maintain their hair in a neat, clean, and combed professional appearance
  • Beards are not permitted. Mustaches must be clean and neatly trimmed. Mustaches may not extend down onto the upper lip area or down the sides past the juncture of the upper and lower lip lines. Mustaches will not extend beyond the corner of the mouth more than 3/8th inch. Handlebars are not allowed.
  • Officer's fingernails shall not extend more that ¼ inch from the tip of the finger or interfere in any ways in the performance of duty or with the safe drawing of issued equipment. Fingernail polish is allowed if it does not distract from the uniform.
