Job description

Job Summary
The Seasonal Floor Technician is responsible for performing specialized floor care services, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and restoring various floor surfaces. This position supports special cleaning projects at facilities located in Davie, Weston, and Jupiter, ensuring floors are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, appearance, and safety.
This is a seasonal project-based position requiring availability to work extended shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Typical schedules consist of 10-hour shifts, with work hours varying based on project requirements and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform floor care services, including stripping, waxing, sealing, buffing, burnishing, and polishing hard floor surfaces.
  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, burnishers, extractors, and other specialized machinery.
  • Remove old finishes and apply new floor finishes according to company procedures and quality standards.
  • Clean and maintain carpets and other flooring surfaces using approved methods and equipment.
  • Ensure all work areas are properly secured by placing wet floor signs and other safety devices as needed.
  • Handle and use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with company policies and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Inspect floors and report maintenance concerns, damaged surfaces, or equipment issues to management.
  • Clean, maintain, and store equipment and supplies in an organized manner.
  • Travel to multiple customer locations as assigned.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions.
  • Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.
