Job description

Weekends Required.

We are growing and seeking EMT-B / Drivers to join our dedicated Johns Hopkins Hospital Transport Team. Whether full-time or part-time, you’ll be part of a company that values your skills, professionalism, and commitment to patient care.

Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital Transport Team

Incentives:

  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 (FT/PT) paid in $500 increments for every 500 hours worked.
  • Referral Bonus: $2,000 (FT/PT) paid in $500 increments for every 500 hours worked by your referral.

Summary:
Provide basic life support (BLS) emergency medical care, patient assessment, and transport services while performing all duties required of an EMT.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Current Maryland EMT certification.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • Reliable transportation and professional appearance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical personnel.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide BLS care and safe transport of patients.
  • Operate and maintain ambulances and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Take vital signs and monitor patient condition.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and disinfected vehicles, equipment, and workspaces.
  • Complete accurate documentation of transports, supplies, and equipment inspections.
  • Assist patients with lifting, transfers, and mobility (up to 250 lbs).
  • Promote LifeStar Response professionally in all interactions.
  • Attend company meetings, training, and special assignments.
  • Immediately report any changes in health, certification, driving status, or other information affecting job performance.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate tight or obstacle-filled spaces.
  • Visual, hearing, and mobility abilities necessary to ensure safe patient care and vehicle operation.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, dynamic EMS environment.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, moving vehicles, and moderate noise.
  • Flexibility to work beyond scheduled shifts when needed.

Requirements:

  • Must meet Maryland EMT qualifications.
  • Background check in compliance with state regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
