What You Will Experience

Varied, skill building field experience across a wide range of scenarios.

Emergency response calls
High acuity medical transports
Complex long term care patients
Interfacility transfers
Disaster response

Every shift builds assessment ability, communication skills, and clinical judgment.


What You Will Do

Provide high quality care in accordance with state and local protocols
Respond to emergency and scheduled medical calls
Perform patient assessments and document care accurately in the electronic patient care reporting system
Operate and maintain ambulance equipment and supplies
Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatch, hospital staff, and other providers
Maintain professionalism and accountability in all interactions

Requirements

Qualifications

Current Louisiana or National Registry EMT certification

Current CPR certification (AHA or equivalent)

Valid Louisiana driver's license with acceptable driving record

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays


Physical and Mental Requirements

Ability to lift and move patients with assistance

Perform duties in stressful and physically demanding environments
