Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We currently perform janitorial building services, mechanical engineering, HVAC and maintenance services for numerous commercial, retail and residential properties on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island.

-Compensation range per hour: $17.00 - $19.00
-Key Responsibilities:
Effective Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift in a various environments and conditions.
Ensure the assigned space remains clean and well-maintained.
Follow task checklists and HBM cleaning procedures.
Maintain productivity and quality standards throughout the workday.
Comply with all company safety policies.
Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, maintaining cleanliness around the building perimeter, and ensuring walkways are clear of debris, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, wiping down areas, vacuuming, replenishing supplies and other necessary materials, collecting and disposing of trash from all waste receptacles and replacing liners, and cleaning up spills. Reporting any safety issues, damages, or building-related concerns (such as burnt-out light bulbs or a broken table).
Capable of collaborating effectively as a team.
Communicate with management of any safety issues, damages, or building-related problems, such as burnt-out light bulbs or broken items.
Based on assigned location: Must be capable of moving the front-load dumpster with wheels to the designated area. Ensure the dumpster is returned to its original location after municipal and/or recyclable waste has been pick up.
Perform any other duties as assigned by Hawaiian Building Maintenance management.
-Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Successful completion of HBM prescreen check.
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks.
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 25lbs.
Consistent attendance and punctuality.
Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred.
Experience with operating a pressure wash machine, leaf blower, baler machine, trash compactor buffer machine, strip and wax machine, walk-behind floor scrubber, walk-behind sweeper, ride-on machine is preferred but not required.
Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail.
