Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform preventative maintenance on roofs, including clearing debris from drains, scuppers, and surfaces
- Inspect and document roof deficiencies, reporting them to the supervisor
- Assist roofers with material delivery, job site preparation, and equipment setup
- Help patch built-up roofs using hot and cold applications
- Support waterproofing efforts for buildings and below-grade structures
- Assist with asphalt patching for streets and caulking expansion joints, belt courses, and coping stones
- Aid in the installation of signs, benches, tables, and fences
- Set up scaffolding, climb ladders, and ensure roofers have the necessary tools and materials
- Maintain cleanliness of gutters and roof surfaces
- This position is considered essential to the operations of the University and may be required to report to work under adverse weather conditions
- Position may assist in the removal of snow under the direction of the supervisor
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization and evolving priorities.
